We run a free automated check on up to five of your public service PDFs and send a per-document report — every defect named by document and page. Then we fix them: OCR for scans, structure tags, reading order, and alternative text. You get the remediated files and a PDF/UA validator report. We do not certify compliance; that determination stays with you.

- Up to five public service PDFs — permit applications, licenses, tax or benefit forms, registrations.
- The report lists, per document and page: a missing tag tree; undefined reading order; images without alternative text; and scanned pages that need OCR before they can be tagged.
- It is run with a free PDF/UA validator (veraPDF). Automated checks cover a subset of accessibility requirements and do not replace manual or assistive-technology testing.
- Public documents only. Nothing behind a login or a form is requested or processed.
Then we fix what the check found.
- Scanned pages — OCR, then tag.
- Document structure — headings, lists, tables, reading order.
- Images — alternative text.
- Document properties — title and language.
- What you receive — the remediated PDF files plus a PDF/UA validator report showing the result.
The deadline is dated.
- The Department of Justice published an interim final rule on 20 April 2026 extending the ADA Title II compliance date to 26 April 2027 for state and local government entities serving 50,000 or more people, and 26 April 2028 for smaller entities and special districts. Source: DOJ ADA Title II web rule.
- The rule's exception for content posted before the compliance date does not cover documents still used to deliver services — permit applications, tax forms and similar. That is most of what a public body publishes.
- No urgency beyond the dates.
