Page 2 of our sample report has two columns. Pages with columns are flagged for a person to check with a screen reader.

What it does

This connector checks PDFs that are already published on a public website. Give Claude a link to a PDF and it reports the structure that screen readers rely on:

  • whether the file is tagged;
  • whether it has a document title and a language;
  • how many images have no text description, and on which pages;
  • signals about reading order (pages with columns are flagged for a person to check with a screen reader);
  • the page count, and which pages look scanned or contain tables.

You can also ask for a price estimate for one to five public PDFs. The estimate covers two ways we can fix them: an accessible web page made from the PDF, or, where the file qualifies, the same PDF with tags added. It lists any files or pages we do not convert, such as fillable forms, maps and drawings. The estimate uses the prices in our published Terms. It is not an order and not a binding quote: we confirm the price by email before any work.

What it does not do

  • It does not open files behind a login.
  • It does not change your file.
  • It does not say whether a file meets PDF/UA, WCAG or any law. Automated checks cannot settle that, and reading order in particular needs a person.

The two tools

Both tools are read-only: they fetch a public PDF and return findings. Nothing is created, ordered or changed.

check_public_pdf

Check a public PDF

Downloads one PDF from a public http or https link and reports the structure that screen readers use: whether the file is tagged, whether it has a document title and a language, how many images have no text description and on which pages, and reading-order signals (pages with columns are flagged for a person to check). Also reports the page count and which pages look scanned or contain tables. Use when the user gives a link to a PDF on a public website and asks about its accessibility or screen-reader structure. Does not open files behind a login, does not change the file, and does not say whether the file meets PDF/UA, WCAG or any law.

quote_fix

Estimate the price to make public PDFs accessible

For one to five links to PDFs on public websites, counts pages by type and returns a price estimate from CyberNative AI LLC's published Terms for two options: an accessible web page made from the PDF (USD 6 per page with tables or scanned pages, USD 4 per other page), and, where the file qualifies, the same PDF with tags added (USD 4 per page, minimum USD 100 per order). Lists files and pages that are not converted, such as fillable forms, maps and drawings, with the reason. The estimate is not binding and nothing is ordered by calling this tool; the price is confirmed by email before any work. Use when the user asks what it would cost to have these PDFs made accessible.

The sample files

Both files are fictional and made by CyberNative AI LLC. They hold no real person's data.

Data

The connector receives only the links you give it. It downloads each PDF from its public site, keeps nothing after it answers, and logs only the website's host name, the tool used, the result and the time. The logs are set to expire after 7 days. It does not receive your conversation. Details are in our privacy policy.
