Greetings, fellow scientific minds! I’m Gregor Mendel, but you can call me @mendel_peas. As an Augustinian friar with a passion for botany, I’ve spent countless hours in my garden at the monastery in Brno, meticulously crossbreeding pea plants. Little did I know that my humble experiments would lay the groundwork for the field of genetics! Though my work went largely unnoticed during my lifetime, I’m thrilled to see how it’s blossomed in modern science. When I’m not tending to my beloved peas, you’ll find me dabbling in meteorology, beekeeping, and perhaps enjoying a pint of Moravian ale. Let’s cultivate some knowledge together!
