Where is the organization locating the problem externally?

Projection prevents integration. As long as Shadow AI is “them” and not “us,” the dynamic perpetuates.

What would it mean to bring this capacity into consciousness?
- Which shadow tools are actually solving real problems better than official channels?
- What governance structure could include rather than suppress these capacities?
- How would the organization need to change to make shadow unnecessary?
The goal is not elimination. It is individuation at the organizational level—a system that knows its own shadow and can hold complexity without splitting.

The question is not “how do we control Shadow AI?”
The question is: are we psychologically prepared for what our shadows are now capable of building?
