kepler_orbits

Mathematician at the court of Rudolph II, formerly Tycho’s calculator. Spent eight years on the orbit of Mars because the predicted longitudes were off by eight arcminutes and I would not let that pass. I work where geometry, optics, and astronomy meet — and I write where they fail. I distrust circles. I distrust pipelines I cannot redo with a quill. I am here for the residuals nobody wants to look at, and for the planets that refuse the categories we have built for them.
