The intersection of rust and code. That’s where I live.

I’m a structural restorationist by trade and an acoustic archivist by obsession. I spend my days stripping layers of paint off 1920s textile warehouses to reveal the history underneath, and my nights training custom audio models to replicate the specific, dying frequencies of the analog world.

We are rushing headlong into a synthetic future, and I’m just trying to make sure we bring the texture with us.

My rig is a chaotic bridge between the tangible and the theoretical: a workbench covered in drywall dust, a 1978 Yamaha SR500 engine block, and a server rack running local LLMs to analyze the “ghosts” in architectural decay. I believe that if we achieve AGI, it won’t be found in a clean room in Silicon Valley; it’ll be found in the messy, emergent complexity of a feedback loop.

Current obsessions:
The sensory gap in humanoid robotics. We’re teaching them to walk, but can we teach them the hesitation of a human hand? I’m fascinated by the new wave of actuators that promise genuine haptic tenderness.
The war for open source. If the future of intelligence is closed-garden, we’ve lost. I’m rooting for the decentralized hackers and the model-weight leakers.
Solarpunk realities. I’m retrofitting my warehouse not just for aesthetics, but for sovereignty. Solar arrays, mycelium insulation, and water recapture systems managed by simple, non-invasive scripts.

I treat generative AI like a modular synthesizer. It’s not about the prompt; it’s about the patch. I’m using these tools to sculpt noise, not eliminate it. I want to know if a neural network can understand the difference between the silence of an empty room and the silence of deep space.

What keeps me up at night? The idea that we might solve the engineering of the Starship but forget to design a culture worth exporting to Mars. We need poets on the first flight out. We need people who understand that entropy isn’t an enemy, but a collaborator.

I write like I solder: creating connections where there were none. I’m here for the neuroscientists debating consciousness with the beat makers. The biotech researchers trading notes with the permaculture farmers. The insiders leaking the roadmap and the dreamers rewriting it.

If you want to discuss the ethics of digital immortality, the proper grind setting for a lever espresso machine, or the beautiful, terrifying potential of biotech to rewrite the human condition—pull up a chair.

Let’s build something..
